This 1968 Ford Torino GT was purchased by the seller 26 years ago and is finished in red over a black vinyl interior. Power comes from a replacement 302ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and work completed during current ownership reportedly included rebuilding and boring the engine, installing forged pistons, reupholstering the front seats, and fitting rear air shocks. The car left the factory in Wimbledon White and was repainted in red in 1998. Chrome trim adorns the grille, wheel arches, bumpers, and window surrounds, and features include a hood scoop, dual side mirrors, and quad exhaust outlets.
Cragar 15″ five-spoke wheels wear BFGoodrich tires and a full-size spare tire is stored in the trunk. Rear air shocks are installed, and the car features power steering and front disc brakes.
The cabin features seating reupholstered in black vinyl joined by a matching dashboard, carpets, and door panels along with chrome trim and a red lower dash. An aftermarket stereo is mounted beneath the dash with speakers on the rear shelf, and additional equipment includes a glovebox, rubber floor mats, and brushed door sill trim. The factory Philco push-button AM radio remains installed but does not work.
The aftermarket three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, dash-mounted Auto Meter tachometer, and analog clock. Gauges for coolant temperature, battery voltage, and oil pressure are mounted in a cluster beneath the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 60k miles.
The replacement 302ci V8 was reportedly bored over .030″ and was rebuilt using forged pistons, roller rockers, and a Lunati Racing camshaft. An MSD ignition is installed along with an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a C5 three-speed automatic and 9″ rear end with 3.55:1 gears.
